Reviewing Proctored Tests

The Proctorio gradebook gives high-level overview about proctored exams to provide information of what should be investigated further. Proctorio gradebook generates ratings of Suspicion Levels for each exam submission based on the behavior of students and the security settings individual instructors choose (and certain behaviors that they consider important), and this rating is generally determined by how various settings, behaviors and other factors are weighted.

Ratings are displayed in green, yellow, and red, with green indicating the lowest ratings, yellow for moderate ratings, and red for the highest ratings.

However, it is important to note that the ratings in Proctorio gradebook do not determine if academic dishonesty has occurred. The Suspicion Levels automatically generated by Proctorio Gradebook are useful as a reference, but instructors should look into the actual flags and recordings in the Proctorio gradebook timeline to interpret what those flags might mean or what behaviors might be taking place in the recordings before making academic dishonesty reporting decisions.

Proctorio is a fully automated system and a variety of factors during exams may impact the results from Proctorio gradebook. We find that healthy communication and understanding between faculty and students can help address most of the remote proctoring issues and promote student success.

Viewing Proctoring Results

1. To view the post-test results, find the exam you wish to review in the course Grades, select the downward facing arrow next to its name and click "View Proctorio Gradebook".
Once the Proctorio Gradebook is loaded all of the test takers’ attempts will be displayed, sorted by suspicion level.
2. Instructors can click along the timeline (actually the dotted line ABOVE the timeline) to jump to different points in the video. The webcam icon in the top-right will open the Incident Log that will also flag moments of interest.
3. The Behavior Settings (strictness level) can be changed post-test in the "Proctorio Settings" tab at the top.
