Brightspace Training Courses for Faculty
Courses Available for Self-Enrollment
Currently, faculty can self-enroll in the following courses via the Discover Tool:
PSCC Level 1 Online Instructor Training
The Level 1 Instructor Training provides an introduction to core Brightspace (D2L) tools necessary for uploading content, managing grades, accepting students’ coursework, and communicating with students. This training is required of all faculty members who wish to teach online, hybrid, and web-enhanced courses at PSCC. Level 1 training is also required for any faculty members who are using Brightspace (D2L) to deliver course documents and other content in traditional courses.
Beyond the Basics of Brightspace
Beyond the Basics is a training courses designed to extend instructor's knowledge of tools within D2L Brightspace that go beyond the core tools. Here you will learn about tools that can expand your course design, improve engagement, and hopefully give you new ideas to extend your teaching both online and face-to-face. This is a self-paced, ungraded course that is perfect for visiting anytime you want a new idea or see a new feature coming or added to Brightspace.
The Sandbox of Sandboxes – A Ready Made Course
This is a ready-made course and is intended to be exported as a template. Importing this course into your course shell will give you ready-made placeholders for assignments, quizzes, discussions, and grade items. All you have to do is import into your course, rename items, set dates, and you are ready to go. What will you find?
